This is the best book on herbs I have ever read. I am on my third copy. It is easy to read and use. It includes a section which lists diseases and treatments for them. Another section describes herbs and diseases they treat. It gives recipes and specifics on how much of and which parts of the herbs to take for different ailments. I have seen no other book this specific. Everything I have tried worked. It explains the classification of the herbs' properties. There are cleansing diets, information on preparing herbs, tinctures, and other alternative health modalities.

There is a wealth of information in this book but if you want to refer to it only occasionally as various health situations arise in your family it is difficult to quickly find a remedy or discussion of any particular ailment. This is because of the way the book is organized. If you're willing to sit down with the book and patiently go through the index, however, you will find valuable information. I have seen Mr. Santillo speak (at a Juiceman "rally"!) and he is quite dynamic and convincing. Very impressive.
